Cellulite is a condition that affects between 80-90% of women of all ethnicities, body types, fitness levels and body mass indices. If there is a good way to prevent cellulite, we sure haven't found it, but that is not for lack of trying. In fact, depending on who you talk to, you might be told that any of the following is a good prevention method for cellulite:
- Lose weight
- Increase exercise
- Special diets
- Eating supplements
- Drink more water
- Drink less water
- Skin creams
- Massages
- Tanning
Some people may see results from some of these techniques, but if they do, the results are likely temporary and limited. Cellulite is caused by the structure of your fat, which is controlled largely by genetics, so, although there are some things you can do to reduce its appearance, such as:
- Maintain a stable weight
- Eat a balanced diet
- Remain active
- Keep properly hydrated
None of these will absolutely prevent cellulite. And its appearance will likely increase with age and with pregnancy and other life events that affect your hormones.
Fortunately, although there is not a good prevention for cellulite, good treatments are available, including Cellulaze, a laser cellulite treatment that can give long-lasting reduction or even elimination of cellulite.
