If wrinkles, facial folds, and other signs of aging have begun to compromise the appearance of your face, you may be a good candidate for a facelift. Many of our patients ask us what the best age is for a facelift procedure. This depends on a number of factors, and should be decided on a case-by-case basis.
Facial aging begins in the late 30s for most people. As you progress through your 40s and 50s, the loss of facial volume and deep lines caused by skin folds will become more pronounced and obvious. Most people in their 40s and 50s still have good skin elasticity, and are generally healthy, with fewer medical issues than patients in their 60s and 70s. For these reasons and more, we recommend undergoing a facelift before the age of 60 if possible. Otherwise, facial aging changes may become permanent and difficult to correct with a facelift alone.
If you are still in your 30s and want to combat facial aging, we offer a wide variety of non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures that you can use to protect the health, quality, and appearance of your skin in the future, including injectables and laser treatments. In fact, our world-class surgeons at JUVA Skin & Laser Center have developed some of their own revolutionary treatments, such as Twilight Plasma Renewal. No matter what your needs and cosmetic goals are, we can help you achieve them safely and effectively.
