The RHA Difference
Hyaluronic acid is one of the most common components in dermal fillers, including the Juvederm and Restylane families. What makes RHA so unique is that it is the only range of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers approved to treat dynamic wrinkles, i.e., those wrinkles formed from motion and by the overuse of facial muscles, such as forehead lines and frown lines. RHA fillers are the only hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers capable of minimizing facial wrinkles in motion.
Hyaluronic acid can’t be injected in its pure form because it gets metabolized almost immediately, making it unsustainable. Thus traditional dermal fillers use a chemically-treated form of it to ensure it stays in the body for at least a few months. The downside to that is that treatment instantly renders it less capable of filling the dynamic wrinkles responsible for facial expressions, such as the laugh lines and frown lines.
