How Endymed Intensif RF microneedling works

Traditional microneedling works by puncturing the skin with micro-needles to create tiny injuries in the dermis. When these punctures are made, the body’s natural repair system immediately goes to work, healing these micro-injuries and thereby creating brand-new collagen-rich tissue. This increases the plumpness and elasticity of the skin, helping it to appear more youthful. When Intensif is introduced to this process, it enhances these results even more using radiofrequency heat. Short, consistent pulses of radiofrequency energy are delivered through the tiny microneedles. This heats up the papillary and reticular dermis, which causes collagen to contract and generate. In addition, this new collagen production continues to occur over the following weeks.

Intensif treatment details

Although anesthesia is not necessary with Intensif, we will provide it for you if you prefer. Most patients describe the sensation from the handheld device as a small pinch. The specialist will deliver the radiofrequency-heated micro-needles directly to the skin with a handheld device. The depth of the needles and the delivery of heat can be adjusted to match your specific needs and areas of concern. The amount of time your treatment will take will depend on what area of the body is being addressed. Although many patients only require one treatment, for optimal results, we typically recommend a series of 4 to 5 treatments, which can be done every 2 to 3 weeks. Patients can return to their regular activities directly after their Intensif treatment.
