What is MyEllevate?

MyEllevate is the only procedure available that uses elegant suturing without any major incisions. It is designed to firm and sculpt the neck, profile, and overall appearance of the jawline. MyEllevate’s suture suspension system utilizes ICLED® technology. ICLED® is a patented light-guided technology for facial procedures. It utilizes the Suturod®, an illuminated rod, to accurately place sutures. This breakthrough system is the first of its kind--an advanced, safe approach to cosmetic procedures.

The MyEllevate technique places the sutures into your skin in a specially-designed pattern, using the ICLED and suture rod to strategically lace the underlying muscles and glands of the neck together--all without surgically opening the area with incisions. This lifts and tightens more than just your skin. It also addresses underlying fat and muscle to rejuvenate facial contours.

What should I expect during the MyEllevate procedure?

You will have your MyEllevate procedure in the office. We will begin by applying a local anesthetic, as general anesthesia isn’t required. No incisions will be made, but a nick will be made behind your ear. This allows your surgeon to insert and use the sutures to reposition tissue, creating a smoother jawline. As needed, they will make another nick under the chin to suture loosening muscle and skin.

The suture material creates a support sling made of a permanent suture. This is inserted using the ICLED lighted suture rod. The rod gives your surgeon the ability to address the exact location where the muscles and glands of the neck can be best supported. The sutures are placed within the skin and muscles, not on the surface of your skin. The support sling holds your neck and jaw in a firmer, more youthful, and sculpted contour.

The whole procedure takes about one hour to perform.

What is the recovery like for MyEllevate?

Once the procedure is complete, a chin strap is worn to support your new jawline and chin contours. You may feel a tightness for 2-3 weeks, which is an indication of the new network of sutures.

Because there is very minimal tissue damage during the procedure, most patients experience rapid healing with only minor bruising and swelling. You will be able to return to normal activities within a few days.
