Ordinary surgical scars can sometimes be removed by a popular technique called dermabrasion often used to minimize acne scars. Dr. Bruce E. Katz and colleagues reported good results from scarabrasion, as they call it. In a study of 48 patients, half the scars treated at eight weeks after injury disappeared.
