This technique is a gentle, manual process that utilizes both a pressure and a relaxation phase to stimulate filaments in the lymphatic capillaries to increase the uptake of fluid being absorbed. MLD can expedite healing in patients who have undergone surgery. MLD treatments help patients feel better faster, by reducing swelling and pain. It is ideal for cosmetic surgery patients who want to expedite their healing time.
